Advice Plymouth is a formal consortium of not-for-profit advice agencies, commissioned by Plymouth City Council to deliver a co-ordinated advice and information service for the people of Plymouth. The service is available to people who live, work or study in Plymouth.
Consortium members, selected for their track record in delivering quality advice services to groups, including those with special needs, comprise of Citizens Advice Plymouth, Age UK Plymouth, Plymouth Guild and Routeways.
We can provide information and guidance in the following areas:
If you are uncertain about which benefit you are entitled to now or in the future, or if you wish to appeal against a decision by the Department of Work and Pensions.
Your rights when you buy or sell goods. Action you can take to get money back, goods replaced, or repaired.
Employer and employee rights and responsibilities, including health and safety aspects, unfair dismissal, redundancy, discrimination, holidays, wages etc.
Your rights and status as a tenant. What you can do if you are homeless or in unsuitable accommodation.
Explain your legal rights, court procedures, legal documents etc.
Do you need help with dealing with your debts, support with budgeting and managing your money.
Your rights and responsibilities in an unmarried or married relationship, including children.
Do you pay tax on savings? Compensation, redundancy, pay etc.
